Xtranormal - type to make a movie

Cool, this make your own animated videos site with a "you type the characters talk" action.
If you can type you can make movies.
This will give you endless hours of amusement...and they're looking for writers and directors.
The Xtranormal guys have created their own video "So you want to start a web start-up" to act as a viral for the site...and by all accounts it's working quite well.
There's a little bit of swearing in this so it may fall into the NSFW category unless you have your headphones on or a chilled out boss.

12 Tech Toys for a Geeked-Out Wedding

Check out Mashable's Top 12 geeky wedding gifts...why not a Top 10? I guess we'll leave that question to the geeks! 12 Tech Toys for a Geeked-Out Wedding

Build your own Canon!

Now if you thought you'd cracked it with paper aeroplanes, progressed
to Airfix kits and then designed and built your own in balsa wood...think on!

Yep, if you've got some time on your hands, some double-sided sticky tape, washing-up liquid bottle, card and sharp scissors (adult supervision required!), try this out.

In just a few simple steps (or less for the origami masters amongst you) you could be well on your way to building a scale model of a Canon EOS 5D Mark II.

And who knows, maybe win a Blue Peter badge!

Patience and perseverance is all it takes.

Full instructions here -

Canon EOS 5D plans

Joking aside, this was a really neat move from Canon to celebrate its 50th anniversary in manufacturing SLR cameras, enabling you to build three super detailed paper craft cameras .

If you've got nothing else to do at the weekend....good luck!

Panasonic Lumix GF2 Launch

Panasonic launch the new Lumix GF2.
Billed as "a digital Interchangeable Lens Camera with the world's smallest and lightest digital interchangeable lens compact system camera."
A bit of a mouthful but looks the business, maybe it'll become known as a DILCSC for short!

The BBC's iPlayer has just been launched on the Blackberry in the UK.
It's free to download from App World and it works on the 9700, 9800 and & Storm 2 Blackberry handsets.

BlackBurberry or BurbBlackberry

Now wouldn’t that make a great brand tie up?

Imagine how many people would enjoy slipping a Burberry branded Blackberry out of their pocket or handbag.

Ok so it may not be for everyone, but if you look at what happened with the whole "Chav" thing in the UK, plus rumour has it that RIM/Blackberry are investing heavily in the very same market that seems to have taken off over the last year or so. Yes teens really are the early adopters of the latest Blackberry smartphones.

Oh and a note to anyone at Burberry or RIM/Blackberry....you heard it here first!

iBerry 2.0

So that's it, you've had enough of your Blackberry, like Citibank & Bank of America this week, you have decided to defect!

We also heard a couple of months ago that the UAE were banning Blackberry email, web browsing and messaging.

Well all is not lost, if you are still quite attached to your Blackberry or live in a land where such things are frowned upon...you could disguise it and make it look like an iPhone!
