LOVEFiLM's Missing Reporter

We are getting a bit concerned that the undercover reporter from LOVEFiLM has gone...well.....completely undercover, maybe she drank too much champagne! She only managed to cover the first 2 Days of the festival, here's her last report - "We all love a bit of gossip (even if we don't let on that we do), and with the biggest Film Festival of the year taking place at Cannes right now, we have managed to persuade an industry insider to give us all the behind the scenes skinny. We've had to keep our top industry exec anonymous in fear of reprisals... believe us you heard it hear first...Welcome to my world, over the next week I'll keep you posted with my news and views of this year's Cannes film festival - an insiders view of pitches, producers and product on the Croisette. The key things you need to survive Cannes are: comfortable shoes - Jimmy Choo's are really only for the red carpet, be able to rush back to your apartment shower change and look fabulous in 5 mins and most importantly be able to survive for 10 days on rose wine and canapés with no time for a decent meal. Oh and a straight face so when a producer pitches the worst project you have ever heard and ask for £200k that you don't burst out laughing! Now on paper it should be a good one - us Brits have two films in Competition - old school and new school - Loach and Arnold. After a year of producers moaning about tax let's hope there is more a positive vibe. Last night opened with The Da Vinci Code - after this you can see what a lottery PR can be - my media mate e-mailed to say " 2HRS 40 MINS of rubbish. Dark, boring, no tension and they even manage to make Audrey Tautou look like she has just walked out of East Enders. Also they shoot in the Louvre and you don't see any of the Paintings!" Oh dear..... Am I the only person in the world that hasn't read the book? Also don't you think Tom Hank's hair looks kind of funny? Tonight is swanky party night - Miramax cocktail party followed by Focus just in time for Ken Loach and Cillian Murphy to walk up the Palais steps at 7.30. More news and views tomorrow...... " Ok, it's well past 'tomorrow' and we've not heard any more from you! The only name we could find on the LOVEFiLM site relating to Cannes reporting was Jason Anderson, we're pretty sure that this isn't you Jason, but if it is you've done a great job on the disguise!
